Enterprise evaluation plan
A bounded technical evaluation that produces evidence for platform, security, operations and release stakeholders.
Define measurable outcomes
Use environment-specific baselines instead of general feature impressions.
| Outcome | Baseline question | Evaluation evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Manual steps removed | How many privileged handoffs and commands are required today? | Approved plan versus current runbook |
| Time to diagnose | How long does an operator need to reconstruct a failure? | Run, code, step, log, artifact and correlation availability |
| Retry safety | Can the team distinguish replay from duplicate intent? | Idempotency and classified retry test |
| Upgrade decision time | Can compatibility and rollback posture be reviewed before change? | Preflight, matrix, backup and acceptance evidence |
| Evidence coverage | Can every critical decision and outcome be demonstrated? | Actor, plan, events, artifacts, checksums and audit |
Recommended four-stage scope
- 01
Control-plane baseline
Install, secure, observe, back up, restore and verify one profile.
- 02
Disposable lifecycle
Validate one provider and create, inspect, scale, upgrade, replace and delete one disposable cluster.
- 03
Cluster services
Install one built-in add-on, prove semantic health, registry posture and approved dashboard access.
- 04
Evidence and failure
Run Sonobuoy, inject a controlled failure/restart, recover cleanup and complete customer-zero acceptance.
Entry and exit criteria
- ✓Named technical sponsor, platform owner, security reviewer and restore owner
- ✓Disposable provider project/account and test DNS/registry boundary
- ✓Written success thresholds and stop conditions
- ✓No production credentials or workloads in the first lifecycle exercise
- ✓Final decision records accepted gaps, required fixes and the exact release identity
Evaluation deliverables

| Operations acceptance | Operations | Install, monitoring, backup, restore, incident and support handoff |
| Lifecycle evidence pack | Platform / QA | Create, scale, upgrade, replace, add-on, validation and cleanup |
| Release decision | Change authority | Exact commit/version, gates, exceptions, approvals and rollback |
